After MINAMOTO NO YOSHITUNE(a general in the Kamakura period),a coming-of-age
ceremony is performed every year in the beginning of March.
They parade the street from MICHI NO EKI RYUO KAGAMI NO
SATO to Kagami Shinto shrine in formal dress of the samurai class

In this season, including SOMEIYOSHINO cherry and drooping cherry, about
700 cherry trees blossom all at once in IMOSE.
On Sunday, they play Taisho-koto, and you can have powdered green tea.
Cherry blossoms are lit up (until 21:00) for one week.
A late-blooming button cherry tree is wonderful, too. |

It is the festival that is full of ancient rites held on April 20 every
year.It begins with NANOKA MAIRI worship.
On 18th, the decoration is done, and there is horse ferry from nine groups
conducting the religious service.
Ten horses dedicated to the shrine and three portable shrines stand in
line after Shinto ritual on that day,
When a festival is over, a sword is handed to a manager of the next year
in each ward, and it is succeeded. |

in front of God. It is performed for an eve of May 1.

and skyrockets and set-piece fireworks are dedicated. |

INaginata Dance(Intangible folk cultural asset) is performed in Suginoki
Shinto Shrine every year on May 3.
The eldest son of each house wears colorful clothes, and the dance is dedicated.
It is said that the wears are made after Oda Nobunaga's fight at Minakuchi
area.The dance is called KENKETO DANCE. |

ruins, Many worshipers offer a straw sandals at the time of 1000days meeting
in the end of June, A lot of peoples pray for recovery from illness.
1000 days festival is held at the night of the day before 1000days meeting.
There are many small lamps with a paper shade of an ukiyoe print. |

| In memory of Yoshitsune Minamoto who had the ceremony of manhood at an
inn of KAGAMI..It's a pleasant festival with the talk between a child and
an old man. We call this festival TOGARAI Festival . Because Children parade
round a village claping a bell and a drum, and growing it with "TOUGARAI,,
MAA GARAI, MAAGA ATTARA TOUGARAI" aloud. |

bow. |

| We perform the event that is similar to the first shooting ceremony. A
primary schoolchild of an archer is covered with formal headwear for court
nobles and wears a kimono of a double cross crest collar, a white hakama
and a white tabi. |
